A woman trying to read a book and feeling distracted

Managing Reader Distractions

I don’t mind distractions. When I read a book, I’m not a focus robot. My mind wanders like yours, and that’s fine. I have kids and a job and interests that all need brain space, and as much as I want to give Jane Eyre my full 100% attention, it’s hard.

Let’s acknowledge that.

We’re not perfect. Does that mean we shouldn’t read? I don’t think so, because every time I turn a few pages in a great book, I feel better as a human. That seems to be a win from what I can tell.

Until tomorrow, read slowly – take notes – apply the ideas.
