For the past few days, warblers have sung from my trees. The tulip bulbs my daughter planted last fall sprouted and the grass turned from pale yellow to hopeful green. Yesterday, I dug out the sunscreen and flip-flops to do some work in the yard. It was glorious.
And now it’s snowing.
This happens every year in Utah. During the transition months, you never know what season you’re “enjoying.” On days like today, I’m especially grateful to be a reader. I’ve just made a hot cup of black tea with the steam warming my skin. I’ve settled into my reading chair for a good book and my notes. It seems I’ll be staying indoors for the day. Oh, darn.
Until tomorrow, read slowly – take notes – apply the ideas.
