Your Reading Environment Matters

Your reading environment matters. It affects how you feel, your level of motivation, and a host of other psychological patterns. I’m not saying you shouldn’t read a book unless everything is perfect. I read everywhere I go, whenever I can. All I’m saying is that the environment makes a difference.

Take some time to craft your ideal reading space. Make it your own. Decorate it, organize it, make it amazing. Consider the five senses as well. How does the space look, feel, smell, sound, and taste? Yes, taste is a component here – think about your beverage of choice when reading. For me, it’s a lightly roasted coffee.

If you’ve got a minute, drop me a comment and tell me how you’ve set up your reading space. I’d love to hear all about it.

Until tomorrow, read slowly – take notes – apply the ideas.
