If you ask me who my favorite creators are, Austin Kleon is in the top three. His bravery to follow his heart and do what he loves is contagious. In these pages, you’ll find several immediately useful ideas to get your creative life in gear, from his “not-so-secret formula” for making stuff to discovering how and why to use your hands when working.
This book is pithy, wise, fun to read, and perfect for leaving out on the coffee table. That’s where I keep mine, out in the open so that I’m constantly reminded to follow Kleon’s example of courageous, creative output.Two other books accompany this one: “Keep Going” and “Show Your Work.” Both are great, but “Steal Like an Artist” is the first step into Kleon’s world and one you won’t regret.
