This week, I’m recommending Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s “Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder.” Taleb teaches that systems can thrive and grow stronger through volatility, stress, and chaos. He introduces the concept of ‘antifragility,’ a trait that goes beyond resilience or robustness, to describe systems that improve when exposed to shocks. The book is full of anecdotes and analysis which Taleb uses to challenge how we think about uncertainty. It’s a tough read, but worth the effort for anyone looking to understand complex systems and the science of getting stronger.
