If you haven’t read Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison yet, let me give it a strong recommendation. This is one of those rare novels that doesn’t just tell a story but reaches out and challenges the way you think. Those are the kinds of books I love!
It follows the journey of an unnamed protagonist as he wrestles with identity, invisibility, and the struggle to be seen. I’ve reviewed some of Ellison’s incredible short stories in my newsletter, but this book is his best work.
It’s intense, thought-provoking, and has a way of sticking with you. If you’re in the mood for fiction that doesn’t shy away from big ideas, Invisible Man is well worth your time.
