  1. I have a desk, with a shelf filled with books, a comfortable office chair, good lighting, and notebooks ready to fill, all located in a corner of my bedroom.

  2. I got my space ready today and I ordered the next book for the book club starting on 11/05/24. I’m reading “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” right now so I can work on a workbook I have about Narnia. I was planning to do that anyway, but after finding these lessons and The Readwell Podcast, it gave me permission to break down the book without making me feel odd for wanting to do something like that! I’m glad I found this group and I’m so looking forward to reading and dissecting more books!
I haven’t gotten a chance to read the last couple of days as I’ve been doing school work.

  3. I have a lovely corner in my bedroom with a big comfy chair, a bookcase, and a good light. I set this up for reading but have not been using it. It’s time to use it!

  4. I chose my living room. It’s cozy, great lighting, temp controlled, quiet (I live alone), spacious, comfy chair, and no clutter(I despise clutter).
My 25 minute read went very well with no distractions and again, very exciting and interesting content. I only read 8 pages and read out loud. Eddy, what are your thoughts on reading aloud? I seem to comprehend better hearing the words out loud…

  5. I like to read outside, and it checks all these boxes except I keep my books inside. I can also read in my office next to my bookshelf, I’ll just need to put my computer and phone away. Will read later tonight after work!

  6. I usually read in the livingroom as the house is a villa and is small. The living room does have personal items of beauty, I can fall asleep very easily. I have lived without Television for over a year and rarely miss it . I would rather read. I also have been diagnosed with a disease which can cause blindness.I must be careful. Reading is very important to me. I do not have bunches of motivevation to unclutter. I should work on it. Maybe I will take a lesson and set a timer for clutter clean up. Why not apply the idea!

  7. Yeah, well, I have books all over my house, and I don’t read in one place. My biggest problem with sitting instead of reclining with my feet up is the poor circulation and bad posture. I’m more comfortable in the recliner, but this arrangement meet almost none of the reading space requirements. I’m also dreadful—just dreadful—about limiting my books only to those I’m reading. My life defines clutter, and I don’t know what to do about that. I love when people say “declutter,” or “just get organized,” as if I hadn’t thought about that as if didn’t know that. So, yeah, a lot work on here for me.

  8. I use a small space in my bedroom to read and to keep books I currently am reading or are TBR. I keep most of my books in my upstairs office in very nice bookshelves that were gifts from my parents many years ago. In my bedroom reading space, I keep my pens, writing tablets, journals, as well as my current books. The room has good lighting and there is a window so I can eat natural light, as well. There is too much clutter in general (not a hoarding-like clutter) in the bedroom, so I did clear some space that had become messy. I use a small writing table that suits me well. While it is not a walked in reading room, it is a functional reading and writing space.
